From the cobblestones of Copacabana to the shores of Lake Neuchâtel
It all began in Rio de Janeiro, where I grew up and studied art history to fuel my fascination with artistic crafts. While I was on my way to studying architecture, love forced me to leave my native Brazil. Arriving in Switzerland and still interested in manual work and the transformation of materials, I turned to ceramics.
After training myself by taking numerous courses and completing several internships in Switzerland and abroad, I am happy to see my first creations born in my hands. I still remember proudly displaying them on a small shelf, in a makeshift workshop set up in an unoccupied room of the house, in Hauterive.

A love for ceramics that grows quickly
What started out as a simple hobby gradually transformed into a true passion. Soon, the shelf was full and my studio too small. Creative and diligent, my pieces began to invade the house!
So, my husband and four daughters encouraged me to dream bigger. I plucked up the courage to market my handmade ceramics. Verônica Monnin Ceramics was born.

A family affair
Today, I've been offering unique, durable, and functional creations for over 5 years. Naturally, my husband joined the adventure: he's the one who makes the enamels I love to discover and which enhance my pieces. For this website and the Instagram page, I can count on my daughters.
In 2022, we are finally replacing the garage with a real workshop in which I can create freely... and fill new shelves!
